Wayne Public Library September Schedule

WAYNE – Getting into the second full week of September, the Wayne Public Library will have another busy month planned full of activities.

According to the Wayne Public Library September calendar, upcoming events this week will include adult coloring night with Pac N Save at 6 p.m. on Tuesday; Needle Night on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m.; a pair of Toddler Times on Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Friday at 11 a.m. as well as a board meeting.

The coloring night is open to men and women 18 & up as all color pages, crayons, markers and pens plus a light snack will be available at no cost. Needle Night will also be held on Thursday, September 19 as Toddler Time is scheduled for each Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Friday at 11 a.m. the remainder of the month. Little ones will get to enjoy stories, music and busy bags to promote early literacy, writing and math skills.

Sunday hours have also resumed from 2 -5 p.m. at the library as they are open Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Later in the month on Tuesday, September 17 ‘Craft Night with Greta” from the Flower Cellar will show how to plant mini succulent pots (call to register; cost is $1 for a pot and $4 or $5 per succulent) at 6:30 p.m.; the book club will meet at the Senior Center the following Tuesday, September 24 at 6:30 p.m. as they’re reading “Goodnight, Nebraska” by Tom McNeal and a movie is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25.
