Wayne Public Library Events

WAYNE – A monthly event is scheduled for Tuesday evening along with several activities hosted by the Wayne Public Library this week.

According to a release, Adult Coloring will be on Tuesday, September 13 at 6 p.m. Stop in for a relaxing night and good company as colors, coloring sheets and snacks will be provided. Adult Coloring Night is sponsored by Pac N Save.

Toddler Time returns with Miss Kim on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 10 a.m. in the library for stories, music, dancing, busy bags and more. Participants will be able to meet other parents and kids in the area while learning about the various services and reading programs the library offers.

A trio of Wednesdays in September will offer after-school story and craft times at 2:15 p.m. September 14 and 28 will be After School Story Time with Miss Kim and September 21 will be After School Recycled Book Craft with Sharon.

Later this week, the Wayne Public Library and Senior Center will be celebrating 25 years of existence in their current location. Make plans to celebrate the Robert B. & Mary Y. Benthack Library and Senior Center on Friday, September 16 from 2 – 3 p.m. with coffee and treats. Friday morning Chamber Coffee will be held earlier in the day at 10 a.m.

A Thrifts & Gifts sale returns this Friday, September 16 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Senior Center/Library Hallway and mark Tuesday, September 20 at 6 p.m. for a ‘Craft Night’.

The Traditional Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 27 at 6:30 p.m. as the September discussion book will be ‘The Authenticity Project’ by Clare Pooley.

Library hours include Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday’s.
