WAYNE – Activities for all continue to be hosted at the Wayne Public Library this holiday season.
After welcoming in Santa earlier this week, the library has more events scheduled for December.
The final ‘After School Coloring’ event in 2021 will be held this Friday, December 10 at 3:30 p.m. Relax and get creative after a busy school week. Adults will be around for conversation as coloring pages, art utensils of all kinds and a light snack will be provided.
The ‘Adult Coloring’ night will then be on Tuesday, December 14 at 6 p.m. Again, stop by for a relaxing night and good company. Colors, coloring sheets and snacks will be provided. The Adult Coloring Night is sponsored by Pac N’ Save.
Several fun activities will also be available on Tuesday, December 21. Movie day will start at 2:15 p.m. after school. A light snack will be provided. The film is a combination of live action and animation. The PG rated film will last just under two hours. Stop by the Wayne Public Library for more information on the showing. Oobleck snowman take and makes will be available on December 21 being a free take-home craft. Pick up the kit at the circulation desk. Supplies are limited, so first come, first serve.
Also, an in-house scavenger hunt will begin on December 21 and last through the end of December. If you find all 15 snowmen hidden in the library, you’ll receive a tasty treat. Just stop by the circulation desk to participate.
A special ‘Winter Toddler Time’ will return with Miss Kim on Wednesday, December 22 at 10 a.m. Plan to read stories, dance to songs, play with busy bags and catch up with all of your friends before the end of the year.
Youth escape rooms will also close out the year on Wednesday, December 29 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. along with and Adult and Teen Escape Room on Thursday, December 30 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hour time slots will be available for each escape room. Groups must also pre-register a team of 4-6 people to participate.

Wayne Public Library regular hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday’s from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday’s from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and between 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday’s.
The Wayne Public Library will be closed on Friday and Saturday, December 24 – 25 in observance of the Christmas Holiday along with being closed on Friday, December 31 and Saturday, January 1 for the New Year holiday.
