Wayne High Seniors Honored With Over $15,000 In Scholarships

WAYNE – A total of five outstanding seniors from Wayne High School recently received State Nebraska Bank and Trust scholarships.

According to a release from State Nebraska Bank and Trust, these students were recognized with bank scholarships worth more than $15,000.

They include Virginia Kniesche, Brenden Swanson and Ethan Wibben as 2022 recipients of the SNB Community Scholarship. Each receive full tuition their freshman year at Wayne State College.

Ellie Jech and Mikaela McManigal both received the SNB FFA Scholarship, worth $1,000 each and given to students who plan to study and have a career in agriculture.

Jech will attend Northeast Community College and McManigal will attend South Dakota State University.
