Wayne FFA Junior, Senior Teams Among Nearly 500 Students Who Attended District Livestock Judging Competition

NORFOLK – Northeast Community College in Norfolk was the place to be in late January as 43 schools participated in livestock judging.

According to a release from NECC, 488 contestants attended the District II, III and IV FFA Livestock Judging Contest on Thursday, January 30. Competition was held at the Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex in Norfolk.

There were approximately 100 faculty members, staff and students from Northeast Community College who assisted in conducting the contest.

As a team, Wayne High’s Junior-Team placed eighth out of 14 teams with 93 individuals. Mady Sievers (15th), Jamie Janke (34th), Hailey Schroeder (38th), Candace Heggemeyer (52nd), James Dorcey (72nd), Logan Miller (73rd), Mia Nelsen (77th) and Andrew Brunken (82nd).

The Wayne FFA Senior-Team took 10th out of 14 teams with 84 individuals. Faith Junck (34th), Emily Longe (46th), Korrina Niemann (51st), Emily Eilers (55th), Reid Korth (59th), Cade Janke (66th), Colton Vovos (67th) and Meghan Spahr (68th).

District 2 Seniors

Individual: 1st – Abigail Lutjelusche, Columbus Lakeview; Isaac White, Raymond Central.

Team: 1st – Columbus Lakeview (Abigail Lutjelusche, Alex Hinze, Ella Meyer, Jaycee Schomberg, and Evan Tessendorf). 2nd – Howells-Dodge (Regan Burenheide, Tyson Coufal, Jacob Hagemen, Trevor Jedlicka, Logan Nelson, Trevor Schumacher, and Britten Sindelar).

 

District 2 Juniors

Individual: 1st – Levi Belina, Howells-Dodge; 2nd – Barrett Andel, David City.

Team: 1st – Howells-Dodge (Lance Brester, Justin Bayer, Morgan Gall, Cole Grovijohn, Levi Belina, R.J. Bayer, Gavin Nelson, and Blake Sindelar. 2nd – Leigh-Clarkson (Brayden Brabec, Jacob Eisenmann, Makenna Held, Madison Noonan, Audie Tejkl, Justine Thompson, and Dalton Zulkoski.

 

District 3 Seniors

Individual: 1st – Elizabeth Karnopp, West Point. 2nd – Logan Buhrman, Wisner-Pilger.

Team: 1st – Blair (Kaitlyn Bouska, Makenna Dirkschneider, Kendra Loseke, Luke Mathiesen, Alli Nielsen, Dalton Nielsen, Jackson O’Brien, and Wyatt Wiemer). 2nd – West Point (Sam Chapman, Rachel Groth, Kaleb Hasenkamp, Elizabeth Karnopp, Ethan Kreikmeier, Evie Schlickbernd, and Payton Schiller).

 

District 3 Juniors

 Individual: 1st – Kaden Gregory, Logan View; 2nd Owen Heller, Wisner-Pilger.

Team: 1st – West Point; (Cooper Colson, Lance Ditloff, Keegan Doggett, Branden Duhsmann, Cole Hutchinson, Anna Karnopp, Levi Schiller, Dylan Steffen). 2nd – Wisner-Pilger (Addisyn Albers, Cameryn Bellar, Jaleigh Hallsted, Emma Heller, Owen Heller, Kyle Rehak, Devon Schultz, and Brittney Uhing).

 

District 4 Seniors

Individual: 1st – Connor Arens, Crofton; 2nd – Dillon Borg, Allen-Wakefield.

Team: 1st Bloomfield (Kate Bruns, Braden Eisenhauer, Bree Eisenhauer, Brooklyn Eisenhauer, Aubrey Jeannoutot, Logan Johnson, Ella McFarland, and Tyson Sauser). 2nd – Crofton (Connor Arens, Taylor Arens, Lauren Buschkamp, Jarrin Sage, Abby Steffen, and Jaden Zimmerman).

 

District 4 Juniors

Individual:  1st – Zoe Wiedeman, Stanton; 2nd – Christen Curtis, Creighton.

Team: 1st – Pierce (Cameron Armitage, Luke Endorf, Colton Fritz, Colby Jensen, Alex Meier, Carter Meier, Makinzie Parsons, and Grant Snodgrass). 2nd – Verdigre (Alexis Bartling, Bree Breithaupt, Chaney Konopasek, Gabrielle Pavlik, Michaela Ravenkamp, Anna Rudloff, and Andree Sucha).
