Wayne County Board Of Commissioners, Board Of Equalization To Meet Tuesday

WAYNE – With the third Tuesday set for May 15, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting from the Courthouse meeting room.

Opening the meeting at 9 a.m. will be the Wayne County Board of Equalization. Board members will receive a listing of real property omitted from or corrected on the March 19 assessment roll. Several motor vehicle exemptions will also be approved.

Moving into the Commissioners meeting, County Assessor Dawn Duffy will ask for approval of a five-year GIS Workshop support contact.

Discussion will then be held for rental space offered for the Department of Health & Human Services offices as well as commitment for the Rural Workforce Housing Investment Fund.

After being tabled from the previous meeting in May, the Wayne County Board of Commissioners will also act on an application for construction and operating permit. The application is pertaining to PigCents, Inc. – North Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation Program. It has been proposed by Dan Hansen for a two-barn finisher housing a total of 5,200 head of finisher hogs.

Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will update the board on road and bridge projects. The Commissioners will look to take action on the Sholes Wind Energy LLC application. This would be for the permission to place a utility line in the County Road Right of Way.
