WAYNE – LifeServe Blood Center would like to thank everyone who attended a recent blood drive in northeast Nebraska.
According to a release from LifeServe, Wayne and surrounding communities have been supporting the local blood bank for over 15 years. Last Wednesday’s Wayne Community Blood Drive was no different as the blood drive was held to help keep the blood supply safe during the transition back into the busy school year.
Several donors stepped up this season by saving lives as LifeServe was able to collect 38 units of blood saving up to 114 local lives.
The next community blood drive hosted by LifeServe is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the fire hall.
LifeServe Blood Center is a non-profit, community-based blood center that has served the needs of local hospitals and patients in the region since 1963.
