Wakefield Community School Alters Lunch Plan

There will be no charge for the meals.

Wakefield – Wakefield Community School is looking to improve its Breakfast/Lunch Program. While Wakefield Community School system is closed to students as a result of the Covid-19/Novel Coronavirus global pandemic, the School District plans to make breakfast and lunch meals available to students under the age of 18.

PROCEDURE OUTLINED

School lunch menus for the week will be posted on the school website. Both meal offerings (breakfast and lunch) will be available for pick-up between 11:00am and 12:30pm.  Simply drive up to the circle drive and a staff member will deliver them to your vehicle. If you are unable to get to the school and need a meal delivered to you please call Dawn Lubberstedt at the school (402-287-2012) and they will get meals to you.

In an attempt to contain costs and control waste, they ask that families submit a meal order form for each day of the week that a meal is needed. There will be a link to the School Lunch Program order form posted on the School’s webpage.

They ask that requests for lunch and breakfast meals be made before 3:00 PM the day before the meals are to be available. Requests for Monday meals need to be made on Fridays.

Phone orders will also be accepted through Dawn Lubberstedt (402-287-2012). If there is no answer, use extension 250 and leave a detailed message.
