Valuation Update To Be Heard During Equalization Meeting, Commissioners To Approve Lodging Tax Grants

WAYNE – The Wayne County Board of Equalization and Board of Commissioners are scheduled to meet Tuesday morning.

From the Wayne County Courthouse meeting room, members on the Board of Equalization will open the meeting at 9 a.m. with a discussion about a valuation update.

After their adjournment, the regularly scheduled Wayne County Board of Commissioners will meet.

Several lodging tax grants are set to be approved: Action below was taken by the Wayne County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

$1,500 for Sons of American Legion Gun Show

$500 for Hoskins Woodland Park Rescue Omelet Feed

Haven House Family Services Frontline Training Conference was denied because it is not a public event

$500 for Gene Topp Memorial Car Show

$250 for Wakefield Alumni Association Reunion Banquet

$1,000 for The Beaumont Event & Concert Hall July 4th Event

$2,000 for the Wayne Chicken Show

$2,000 for Henoween

$500 for Wayne Community Theatre summer productions

 

Among the regular agenda will be an appointment from Wayne Area Economic Development Executive Director, Luke Virgil about 2018 WAED contribution. Also on the agenda, includes a notice of Veterans Service Office business changing hours.

Highway Superintendent Mark Casey will then discuss road/bridge project updates towards the end of the meeting.
