VA to hold town hall meeting in Norfolk

Veterans and their families are invited to a town hall meeting in Norfolk to hear updates and provide feedback on VA services.

According to a press release, VA leadership will discuss its new Mission Act and give an update on ongoing initiatives the organization has put in place. The release says the goal is to promote open and honest feedback from veterans and their families about the VA’s programs.

“Our town hall meetings are designed to open up new lines of communications with our Veterans, the families and their caregivers so that we can provide them that care,” VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care Systems Director B. Don Burman said in a statement. “That’s why we are encouraging our Veterans and their families and friends to attend this important meeting.”

VA representatives will also be available after the meeting to help Veterans who are not currently members of the VA system.

The meeting will take place at the Norfolk Senior Center on June 6. It will start at 6 p.m.
