WAYNE – Another week of testing and the campus of Wayne State College cuts their COVID-19 active positive case total in half following an increase earlier this month.
According to a release from Wayne State College, the active positive case total dropped from 36 to 17 while another 46 returned to campus bringing that total to 249.
From November 10 – Monday, November 16, WSC is up to 266 overall total positives cases of COVID-19 since August 14.
College officials are continuing to ask everyone to follow all guidelines and requirements regarding the four pillars of hygiene, masks, social distancing and self-screening.

Health Officials with NNPHD reported another 130 overall COVID-19 cases from Saturday, November 14 until Monday, November 16. Of the 1,991 total positives, 993 have since recovered and there have been nearly 13,000 total cumulative negative tests.
Monday’s numbers also included new positives since last report/total positives/total number recovered for each county. Cedar (29/338/165); Dixon (21/311/164); Thurston (27/596/346) and Wayne (53/666/318).
