WAYNE – Close out the month with a pair of planetarium showings including a special Leap Year astronomy lesson this weekend.
Located in the lower level of the Carhart Science building on the Wayne State campus, the Fred G. Dale Planetarium welcomes all to attend their 2020 Spring Season.
On Friday, February 28 ‘The Hot and Energetic Universe’ is scheduled for 7 p.m. with ‘Compass, Clock and Calendar’ taking place on Saturday, February 29 at 2 p.m.
Visit www.wsc.edu/planetarium for a detailed planetarium show schedule, more information about these public shows and how to book a private group showing. Laser shows will also be shown later in the semester.
A non-astronomy weekend will showcase ‘Flight Adventures’ at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 6 and ‘Understanding Evolution’ on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m.
Again, doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of a show and all shows last about 45 minutes.
