WAYNE – After meeting at the Wayne Fire Hall the past couple meetings, Wayne City Council members will now hold their regularly scheduled meeting from the Community Room inside the Wayne Community Activity Center this evening.
The agenda will open at 5:30 p.m. as council will look to consider the planning commission’s recommendation concerning a Use by Exception request of the B-1 Highway Business District, Special Conditions and Conditions for Granting Exceptions. The applicant is Sunnyview Place, LLC who is requesting to allow for a drive-thru at Providence Community Pharmacy at 803 Providence Road.
Another public hearing that is recommended by the planning commission is on a request to rezone property. The applicant is Scooter’s Coffee who is seeking a request to rezone the area from B-1 Highway Business to B-3 Neighborhood Commercial. The location is 527 East 7th Street, formerly 527 Brewhouse. A Scooter’s drive-thru coffee kiosk is looking to be constructed.
Council will also take action on a pair of contractor’s application payments. Payment number three is the amount of $340,307.53 is being requested by Rutjens Construction, Inc. for the “2019 Water Transmission Main Project” while payment number five in the amount of $13,352.25 to Robert Woehler & Sons Construction, Inc. is for the “2019 Nebraska Street Improvements Project”.
Prior to opening their budget work session, councilmembers will take a tour of the Community Activity Center and Aquatic Center.
