CONCORD – An in-person tomato canning workshop has been scheduled for early September.
According to a release from the Haskell Agricultural Lab, their hands-on canning class on tomatoes will be on Wednesday, September 1 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Attendees will be able to learn current safe methods including steam canning.
Pre-registration is required by Friday, August 27 and class size is limited as the fee to attend is $5 to cover the cost of supplies. Call 402-584-3828 to register.
This class is for all levels of canning experience and will be taught by Carol Larvick, Extension Educator. The Haskell Ag Lab is located 1 ½ miles east of Concord at 57905 866th Road.
