WAYNE – A county within the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District added to their total of COVID-19 positive cases.
According to a release from NNPHD, a pair of Thurston county residents tested positive bringing the county-wide total to 170. Health officials also confirmed 34 negative tests as another 15 individuals have recovered.
As of Wednesday evening, there have been 1,489 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests remain at 267 positive cases (Cedar – 17, Dixon – 53, Thurston – 170 and Wayne county – 27); 1,155 negative tests and 160 recoveries.
NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
