Three Performances From Wayne High’s ‘Damn Yankees’ Set For This Weekend

WAYNE – The musical, “Damn Yankees” is scheduled to take stage rain, snow or shine this weekend presented by Wayne High School.

Showings will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 6-7 at 7 p.m. with a matinee performance on Sunday, April 8 at 2 p.m. Production began in early February for the musical.

Tickets are available until gone from any member of the musical or by calling the high school office at 402-375-3150. Nearly 50 students make up the cast and crew for the musical.

According to a release from Wayne Community Schools, watch the Washington Senators vie for the pennant with their new phenom, and see if he can escape a deal with the devil in the process. The Wayne High musical, “Damn Yankees” will be performed live from climate-controlled Griffith Stadium (aka Wayne High Lecture Hall).

Also, tickets for the Saturday and Sunday performances will be available at the door so come one and come all to the ballpark this weekend at Wayne High for “Damn Yankees”.

A matinee performance for those in fifth – eighth grade was held Wednesday afternoon with the final rehearsal scheduled for Thursday evening.
