The 2018 Dixon County Fair Is Underway

CONCORD – The Dixon County Fair started on Wednesday, August 1st and will go till Sunday, August 5th. The week is full of exciting events and activities for people of all ages.

Wednesday kicks things off with the entry of exhibits as well as livestock check-in.

Thursday’s activities start bright and early with a free breakfast sponsored by Farmers Pride from 7:30-9:30 a.m. From 2-4:30 p.m. there will be an archery demo and soon after at 5 p.m. McWhorter Entertainment will open the carnival. The demo derby will be Thursday night at 7:30.

The 4-H Beef Show will begin Friday morning at 8. Also on Friday the Modified and Antique Tractor Pull is at 11 a.m. The Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull series will start at 7 that evening.

Saturday’s events begin with the Swine Show at 8 a.m. with the Sheep Show at 9:30 and Goat Show at 11. The main event that evening will be bull riding at 7 p.m.

Sunday winds things down at the Dixon County Fair. At 8 a.m. there will be a Sunrise Worship Service at the fairgrounds. Other events on Sunday include a car show from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. as well as Gospel Music from Prodigal Sons from Ponca at 7 p.m.
