Testing Results From Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department, No Positive Tests

WAYNE – Officials with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department continue to monitor the COVID-19 cases in their area and posted testing information Thursday afternoon.

The public health department, which serves Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties, have conducted 20 coronavirus tests resulting in 18 negative tests along with two pending. These results are based on information through Wednesday, April 1 at 9:13 p.m.


The public health department states social distancing will help stop the spread of COVID-19.

  • Avoid groups both inside and out
  • Stay six feet apart from others
  • No contact sports
  • Avoid bringing kids together to play in groups (write letters, visit online or call on the phone)


Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department officials will notify the public when new information is available. When a positive case is identified in the health district, that information will be distributed as quickly as possible to the public.
