STANTON – Authorities say a Stanton teen is lucky to be alive after her vehicle fell off a bridge Wednesday.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says it happened around 11:30 Wednesday morning.
Sheriff Unger says an 18-year old rural Stanton woman was northbound in an S-U-V when she struck a bridge rail and careened off the road, falling about 15 feet into a creek bed. A bridge railing impaled the driver’s side windshield.
Remarkably, the woman suffered just minor injuries. She was treated and released at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
