Wayne native, Zach Jorgensen is an author, graphic designer, motivational speaker and vlogger. He’s looking forward to a great turnout.

“So, it starts at the Fire Hall here in Wayne and then it’ll end at the 4th Jug here in Wayne for a post-event celebration,” said Jorgensen. “Where we’re going to have some music, some games and there’ll be pizza and cookies as well.”

The Muscle Walk, Run & Bike offers both a 5K and one mile walk/run or a six-mile bike option around the City of Wayne Trail. Check-in will begin at 2 p.m. with the event starting at 3 p.m. this Sunday.

MDA covers a range of neuromuscular diseases as Jorgensen has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Jorgensen added the funds MDA receives goes not only to funding support groups for clinics for patients with neuromuscular disease but beyond.

“Funding for research for treatments and cures for all neuromuscular diseases,” Jorgensen added. “Also, funding for sending kids with neuromuscular diseases to summer camps all across the United States.
