Summer Reading Sign-Ups Going On Now, Makerspace Showcase Thursday

WAYNE – As the Wayne Public Library kicked off their summer reading sign-up over the weekend, there will always be something going on at the library.

This year’s reading theme is “A Universe of Stories” for kids and teens all the way to high school seniors. Participants will log-in their reading hours to win prizes during this free program.

Weekly events are planned and the only cost is a t-shirt starting at $7 for kids and adults but you must sign-up. From 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday visit the Wayne Public Library to register until Saturday, June 8. (registration does last all summer, but to start logging hours it is encouraged to sign-up earlier)

Another event scheduled for Monday, May 13 will be a ‘Facebook Class’. Join the conversation and learn how to use the largest social networking site in the world. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and is free for everyone to attend at the Wayne Public Library. Contact the library at 402-375-3135 ahead of time as there are only eight seats available.

Put down Thursday, May 16 in the calendar for a Makerspace Showcase at the library with a program lasting from 4 – 7 p.m. Plan on enjoying the day by viewing the many items community members have on display which were created during the Innovation Studios Makerspace.
