EMERSON – After nearly three months of being closed, a stretch of roadway on Highway 35 will be opening to the public this week.
According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, the three miles southwest of Hubbard on N-35 will reopen at noon on Friday, December 20, weather permitting.
The NDOT announced that Hwy 35 would be closed in order to facilitate work on a box culvert and to repair an embankment failure in September.
NDOT wants to thank the contractor for their work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. In addition, NDOT wants to thank the communities in the area for their continued patience and understanding while state officials work to make a better transportation system.
