Spring Honors Recital Highlighted April 26, Semester Approaching The End

WAYNE – Earlier this week the Wayne State College Department of Music celebrated excellence in music with an Honors Recital.

According to a Thursday release from WSC College Relations, the concert featured selected students who were recognized for outstanding progress in voice or instrument.

The Spring 2022 Honors Recital was held Tuesday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the WSC Music Annex (Praise Assembly of God building, 1000 East 10th Street, Wayne).

Honorees included: Tresten Schwarz, marimba, and Kelsy Moeller, flute, of Wayne; Sydney Auman, soprano, of Lincoln; Ky Kenny, piano, of Carroll; Wynter Fulsaas, alto saxophone, of Oakdale; Austin Burkhardt, trumpet, of Winnetoon; Kora Keslin, trombone, of McCook and Dalton Rath, baritone, of Randolph.

Finals week at Wayne State College will be Monday, May 2 – Friday, May 6 with graduation at the Willow Bowl on Saturday, May 7. The Master’s ceremony will be at 10 a.m. while the Bachelor’s ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. Ceremonies will be moved to Rice Auditorium in the event of inclement weather and also be livestreamed.
