Special Easter Weekend Planetarium Series, The Sistine Chapel

WAYNE – Over the course of the Spring semester at Wayne State College, the Fred G. Dale Planetarium will offer both planetarium and laser shows.

According to a release from Wayne State College, everyone is welcome to enjoy the Spring 2022 Fred G. Dale Planetarium schedule at WSC.

During this weekend of Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, the planetarium will highlight ‘The Sistine Chapel’ as there’ll be no laser shows this weekend.

This weekend will offer an Easter Special at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy the lights and music of the many laser shows presented throughout the season, including most weekends of Classic Rock, Laser Country, Laser Beatles and Pink Floyd. Again, no laser shows this weekend.

Normally, Friday planetarium shows will begin at 7 p.m. and the laser show to follow at 8 p.m. while Saturday planetarium shows will start at 1 p.m. with the laser show at 2 p.m.

Planetarium doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of a show. Planetarium shows generally include a tour of the current night sky, a view of the constellations and a full dome video.

All shows last about 45 minutes. If you wish to book a private planetarium show, visit the main planetarium page for more information and contact the planetarium for a reservation.
