SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Three South Sioux City High School students placed in the top three in several categories at the annual Educators Rising Nebraska State Leadership Conference on February 22nd.
Educators Rising is a career technical student organization that puts students on track to become successful teachers through cultivating skills. Many students who participated in the state Educators Rising Conference will move on the national conference in Orlando, Florida in June.
Three South Sioux City High students placed first, second and third in various events. Kandiss Voss topped the competition for Educators Rising Moment. Bringing home second place was Juan Pablo Ramirez-Perez in Lesson Planning and Delivery for STEM, or science, technology, engineering and mathematics. MacKenzie McGuire placed third for Lesson Planning and Delivery for Humanities.
Nearly 400 students participated in the conference and competitive events.
