Several Discussion Items On County Commissioner Agenda

WAYNE – For the second time in December the Wayne County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting at 9 a.m.

On Tuesday, December 18 from the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, board members will hear an update from Nick Kemnitz, Wayne County Emergency Manager.

Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will also provide updates on road and bridge projects. Commissioners will then look to approve a “Construction Engineering Agreement” between Wayne County and Mainelli Wagner & Associates. This would be for a federal aid project (Wayne West/Temme bridge).

From the last time board members met, three suppliers submitted bids for an articulated motor grader. Action will be made Tuesday morning.

More information was provided during the December 4 meeting about the Wayne County Courthouse Exterior Renovation Project as board members capped the budget at $2 million. Potential dates for the masonry workshop will be discussed.

Another item on the agenda will be discussing the usage of office space in the annex building.
