Several Appointments Listed Among Board Of Commissioner’s Agenda

WAYNE – Board of Commissioner’s in Wayne County will transition their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 16 back to the Wayne County Courthouse second floor meeting room.

The group has been meeting in the courtroom for the few years and will open their meeting at 9 a.m.

An action item to approve the 2021-2025 Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Justice Partnership Comprehensive Community Plan will be on the agenda early in the meeting. The commissioners will look to renew the Memorandum of Understanding with Madison County to approve and participate in the 2021-2025 Northeast Nebraska Juvenile Justice Partnership Comprehensive Community Plan.

A 9:10 a.m. an appointment will pertain to permits from Travis Bull, Allo Communications and Mike Stansburry, Bauer Underground.

Wayne County Emergency Manager, Nic Kemnitz will also provide information on an opening bid for a portable communications tower at 9:30 a.m. ahead of an update about the Haystack Wind Energy project around 9:40 a.m.

Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will address road and bridge updates while Doug Elting with Berggren Architects will talk more about the courthouse restoration project.
