WAYNE – Both the Wayne County Board of Equalization and Commissioners are set to meet Tuesday morning for their regularly scheduled meeting.
From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with a correction of a TIFF project on Wayne Rentals during the Board of Equalization.
Moving into the commissioners meeting starting around 9:05 a.m., Travis Bull with Allo Communications and Mike Stansburry with Bauer Underground will discuss utility permits at 9:10 a.m.
About 10 minutes later, Wayne County Emergency Manager Nic Kemnitz will provide an update.
County Treasurer Tammy Paustian will also attend the meeting around 9:20 a.m. with updates on interest on investments. She’ll also seek approval for resolution 21-08, establishing Fund 2580 COVID American Rescue Plan.
A pair of executive sessions will address a recommendation to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission on new manager application for Logan Valley Golf Couse in Wakefield as well as potential litigation with Herbst Construction over liquidated damages charged to Herbst Construction for the Temme bridge.
The board will also be taking action on a Zelle proposal to review, create recommendations and revise the employee handbook before Highway Superintendent Mark Casey goes over road and bridge updates.
Other appointments include David Levy at 10:30 a.m. to negotiate variances on the Sholes Wind project access roads as well as Doug Elting with Berggren Architects on an update for the courthouse restoration project.
The Commissioners will close out their meeting by looking to approve eight Lodging Tax Grant Applications from the Wayne County Convention & Visitors Bureau Committee recommendations.
