Search Continues For Missing Northeast Nebraskan

MADISON – In a release from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, March 21 an extensive search was conducted beginning at 9 a.m. in the area of the North Fork of the Elkhorn River for a missing individual from Norfolk.

The search consisted from the North 1st Street bridge to the confluence of the Elkhorn River and beyond for the body of Scott Goodman.

As of Thursday, the search didn’t reveal any sign of Goodman. But the search will go on as the water continues to lower.

The search consisted of 68 personnel from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Norfolk Fire Division, Norfolk Police Division, Nebraska State Patrol, NSP helicopter along with airboats and members of Nebraska Game and Parks.

Officials are asking for anyone that lives or farms the area of the Elkhorn River to be observant.

After speaking with members of the Goodman family, they advised that they were thankful for all the prayers and support that have been sent their way. They still remain hopeful that Scott will be found.
