School Board To Address Architect Contract, Meeting Location Changed To Elementary

WAYNE – As board of education members prepare for their regularly scheduled meeting, this week is also School Board Appreciation Week.

The Monday night meeting will be held in the commons of the Wayne elementary school starting at 5 p.m.

A discussion of paras will take place in the personnel section of the agenda early in the meeting.

Following a late January community brown bag lunch meeting addressing the future of Wayne Community Schools, the board will next go over the contract for Carlson West Povondra. The fee for the bond study with the architect firm will be a lump sum of $6,000.

Another new business item will be the 2020 NASB membership dues. The annual dues for fiscal year April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021 is $5,477 but if paid by April 1 the board would receive a 2% discount.

Superintendent of Wayne Community Schools, Dr. Mark Lenihan will address several items during his administrative report. They include a facility plan follow-up, principal evaluations along with updates on the junior high principal/athletic director search.

This month’s honor coffee will recognize the science quiz bowl and FCCLA participants. The event will be held around 6:30 p.m. in the elementary commons.
