School Board Members To Hear Updates, Address Mid States School Bus Contract

WAYNE – Board of Education members with Wayne Community Schools will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, March 9 at 5 p.m.

From the Jr/Sr High School conference room (room 202), members will hear more about ‘personnel’. Along with discussion about resignations, information about the Family and Consumer Science teacher and Resource Special Education position will be brought forward.

A communication from the public will feature a requested presentation from NRCSA executive director, Jake Moles.

Among new business items will be administrator contracts, an option enrollment resolution, replacement of acoustical ceiling and lighting in the lower level of the high school as well as the Mid States School Bus contract.

Superintendent, Dr. Mark Lenihan will also provide an update from the legislature, more about teacher contracts and a community facility group.

With the consideration for a paving/concrete south drive area behind the High School, school board members will be updated on the elementary HVAC.

The March honor coffee will recognize the Wayne Community Schools state wrestling qualifiers as well as spelling bee and Future City members. The honor coffee is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the high school commons.
