Salvation Army Leading Back To School Supply Drive For Elementary Students

WAYNE – Elementary students in Wayne need your assistance in filling their backpacks with school supplies prior to Sunday, August 11.

The Wayne Salvation Army Unit has been collecting supplies since July 21. Donations can be dropped off at First Presbyterian Church by adding them to the backpack display in the Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 216 West 3rd St.

Items needed are boxes of tissues (200 count), Crayola crayons (24 count), colored pencils, #2 lead pencils (plain, not colored), erasers, glue sticks and plastic pencil boxes or zippered pencil bags.

For more information or to register a student entering kindergarten – sixth grade in Wayne to receive supplies, email the name and grade to sarmy.wayne@gmail.com. Also, call First Presbyterian Church at 402-375-2669 with any questions.

Distribution of supplies will take place on Monday, August 12 from 3 – 7 p.m. in the lower level of Calvary Bible Church located at 502 Lincoln St.

The Wayne Salvation Army Unit is also supported by United Way.
