Resolution Items, Ordinances To Take Up Most Of City Council Agenda

WAYNE – Following a council retreat in late September, Wayne City Councilmembers will return to their regularly scheduled meeting format Tuesday evening back at the Community Room of the Wayne Community Activity Center.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. as there’ll be an early action on application and certificate payment number five (final) in the amount of $130,337.98 to M&B Quality Concrete. This will be for the work completed on the “Restoration of Walking Trail Project” near Victor Park.

The next trio of agenda items will focus on City of Wayne resolutions.

Councilmembers will look to reaffirm the Project Engineer and approve the plans, specifications and estimate of cost for the “2021 Pine Heights Road Improvements, 9th to 10th Street Project”; accept and authorize the Execution of a Construction Engineering Service Agreement between the City of Wayne and Olsson relating to the Wayne Trial Phase 2 Project as well as amend an original resolution pertaining to the establishment of a Problem Resolution Team.

Moving further in the meeting will also be for a topic of semi-truck parking with one being a third and final reading that has seen changes each time. The other two ordinance items will be on their second reading and were detailed more during the council retreat last month.

Council members will close out Tuesday’s meeting by taking action to authorize City Administrator, Wes Blecke to temporarily pay out Police Department vacation leave in the amount over the accrual limit at current wage rates. More will be explained at the meeting.
