WAYNE – With another round of a budget work session on the Wayne City Council agenda this evening, councilmembers will also open the regularly scheduled meeting with a couple discussion items.
From the north meeting room inside the City Auditorium, council will meet at 5:30 p.m. as Mayor Cale Giese will proclaim the week of August 9 – 15 as “American Wind Week”.
Request items from Mark Janssen pertaining to the Brewhouse Coffee Shop building as well as Nick and Amanda Hawthorne for installing a fence on City of Wayne property will first be addressed.
Wayne Area Economic Development Executive Director, Luke Virgil will provide his report on LB840 activity to the council before the board will also authorize the allocation of property taxes to the Wayne Airport Authority.
Prior to the budget work session, councilmembers will take action on two change orders for the “Wayne Trail – Phase 2 Project” along with a certificate of payment for the “Restoration of Walking Trail Project”.
