Registration Still Open For Ag Land Management Workshop

NORFOLK – Anyone interested in learning more about updated leasing information relevant to landlords and tenants are invited to attend a free workshop hosted by Nebraska Extension.

According to a release from Nebraska Extension in Madison County, the Ag Land Management workshop is being hosted by Nebraska Extension and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Agricultural Profitability.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25 from 9 a.m. until noon in the Madison County Nebraska Extension office located in Norfolk at 1305 South 13th Street.

The Ag Land Management workshop will offer tips for communication and negotiating with landlords and tenants. It will also address topics like equitable rental rates, managing and adjusting farmland leases, landlord-tenant issues, pasture leasing and other management considerations.

The presentations will be led by Jim Jansen, an extension educator and agricultural economist and Allan Vyhnalek, an extension educator specializing in farm and ranch transition and succession.
