Recent Developments On Highway 35 Near Hubbard Will Cause Closure In Near Future

HUBBARD – As construction continues along highway 35 in northeast Nebraska, a complete closure of the road is in the near future.

According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, recent developments will result in the closing of HWY 35, in the Hubbard area to complete construction.

During the rehabilitation of the 11-mile segment of Highway 35, it was discovered that the original plan to modify a box culvert would not suffice. NDOT will replace the box culvert with a new, larger one.

These repairs will require the roadway to be closed for an extended period of time. Highway 35 is still open and will remain open until work on the new box culvert can begin.

Once a project start date, length of closure and detour information is available, NDOT will update the community.
