Public Hearings, Clubhouse Liquor License To Be Discussed A Part Of City Council Meeting

WAYNE – Wayne City Council will hold their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday evening featuring several public hearings, ordinance talk and a liquor license application.

From the City Hall, councilmembers will take action on an application for a liquor license with the Wayne Country & Golf Club. This would be for a two-story clubhouse, approximately 48’X48’, including the entire golf course (roughly 165 acres).

Once the new clubhouse is done, just remaining are walls and the roof, the entire golf course area will be the addition to their liquor licensed premises.

Two appointments will be handled as Galen Wiser and Deb Finn will be named to the Civil Service Commission.

The Wayne City Council will also hear an update from American Broadband about improvements and challenges.

Other public hearings are scheduled to take place pertaining to three Planning Commission recommendations. They include a request to rezone property from B-1 (Highway Business) to R-4 (Residential); discussion on the “Final Plat for Southwest Addition” and amending the Wayne Municipal Code Title XV, Land Usage for Fences and Screens.
