Public Hearing On Budget, Discussion Of Old School District 83 Site Among Board Of Education Agenda Items

WAYNE – Along with the regularly scheduled Wayne Community Schools Board of Education Review of Financial Claims at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 12, board members will open their budget hearing at 5 p.m.

From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School library, the board of education regular meeting will then follow the budget hearing.

A public hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Monday for the proposed 2022-23 budget hearing and budget summary.

Moving into the regular meeting, old business items to be addressed include second readings for Policy 2102: Superintendent Job Description, 8230: Board Member Attendance at Functions and 8231: Coffee Act Policy.

Among new business will highlight a discussion item regarding real estate of the old School District 83 rural school. This land is located at the intersection of 855th road and 563rd avenue.

Also, first reading for policy 6212: Assessments – Academic Content standards redline will be talked about.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Lenihan will go over the 2022-23 Administrative Structure, principal evaluation process, enrollment summary, strategic plan – priority three and out of state travel for student activities.

More discussion on Honor Coffees will also be brought forward later in the meeting.
