BLOOMFIELD – Head on over to Bloomfield this coming Saturday, November 10 for Poultry Party Bingo at the Bloomfield Community Center at 7 p.m. The event is put on by the Post 4996 VFW Auxiliary. Post 4996 VFW President Dee Bratetic is excited for the event.
“Basically, we play bingo for birds so you can win your Thanksgiving turkey,” said Bratetic.
The event gets kicked off at around 6:30 with a meal.
“We usually have a light supper at 6:30. Usually it’s taverns, hot ham and cheese, bars, soda, chips,” said Bratetic. “And then bingo starts at 7 and all ages are welcome.”
The Bloomfield VFW plans on 25 games of Bingo and giving away turkeys to the winners. The very first and the very last bingo will win larger turkeys.
“With the license we get from the state of Nebraska we are only allowed to charge a quarter a card so it’s a really family fun affordable event,” explained Bratetic, “and it’s one of our major fundraisers that we do for the VFW Auxiliary.”
Bratetic encourages people to head over to Bloomfield for a fun experience.
“I know that the weather should be halfway decent on Saturday so come on out for a drive and have some fun and play some bingo,” said Bratetic.
All ages are welcome to the event that starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Bloomfield Community Center.
