PONCA – Take the family out to enjoy Halloween themed activities this Saturday at Ponca State Park. The day starts with crafts for all ages from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Resource and Education Center. Cost average is $1 per craft. There will also be walking BINGO throughout the day. Participants can win prizes if they complete cards and turn them in at the Resource and Education Center.

At 1 p.m. head over to Scout’s Hill for a pumpkin roll obstacle course. Cost is $3 for a small to medium size pumpkin and $5 for a large pumpkin. From 1-3 p.m. test your creative side and participate in a pumpkin carving contest also held at Scout’s Hill. Cost is the same as the pumpkin roll obstacle course. If you don’t want to carve a pumpkin, games, a maze, s’mores, and other activities will also be going on during that time.

At 3:30 p.m. join in the pet costume parade. Watch how spooky Ponca State Park goers dress up their dogs and cats. Prizes will be awarded and the parade will be located at Scout’s Hill.

Finally, at 5:30 p.m. judging of decorated campsites and cabins will commence and prizes will be awarded.

Winners from last weeks pumpkin carving contest were Kolton Danielski(5)  of West Point, Elliot London(8) of Norfolk, and Lauren Thompson(31) of Osmond.
