Ponca State Park Hosting “Hallowfest” Next Two Saturdays, October 10th and 17th

LINCOLN – On Saturdays, October 10 and October 17, 2020, will be the Ponca State Park Halloween celebration. Ponca State Park’s annual “Hallowfest” will look a little different this year due to COVID-19. The below schedule applies for both Saturdays.

From 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. is the “Take and Go Crafts.” This activity is for all ages. The cost is $1 per craft. “Owl Prowl” is an event where participants learn about the diet of owls. That will run from 10 – 11 a.m., with a cost of $1 per owl pellet. “Creepy Crawly Critter Corner” is a program running from 11 a.m. to noon. This free event will teach people about spiders, snakes, and bats. The “Pumpkin Carving Contest” is from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. This costs $3 for a medium-sized pumpkin and $5 for a large pumpkin. The judging for decorated campsites and cabins will start at 5 p.m. The previously reserved “Haunted Drives” start at 7 p.m.
