WAYNE – With just over a month out until the 2019-20 school year begins for Wayne Community Schools, the Board of Education will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, July 8.
From the Wayne Jr/Sr high school library, Room 407, the board will first review their claims at 4:30 p.m. before the regular meeting takes place at 5 p.m.
Policies the group will be discussing includes bullying, student fees, homeless, parental involvement and improving learning for children with disabilities.
Old business items for second readings on both the 2019-20 Jr/Sr high school and elementary handbooks will look to be approved.
Among the new business, several policy updates will seek first reading approval along with the 2019-20 teacher handbook, non-certified staff handbook and NRCSA membership.
Another budget update will also be provided by superintendent Dr. Mark Lenihan as well as the HVAC project and facility update.
