Plattsmouth man stabbed during carjacking in South Omaha; police still searching for vehicle

A 22-year-old Plattsmouth man was stabbed in a carjacking outside Guaca Maya restaurant Friday night, police said.

Gerson Sagastume was sitting with a man in his 2005 Nissan Titan in the parking lot there about 11:20 p.m., he told police. There was an altercation, and Sagastume was cut in several places, according to the incident report. The man then took off in his car, leaving Sagastume at Guaca Maya. It wasn’t clear if Sagastume knew the man.

Sagastume was taken to Nebraska Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are still looking for his Nissan, which is copper or brown with license plates bearing 20-181L.
