Planetarium Shows Continue Through Spring

WAYNE – The Wayne State College Planetarium will have a busy end to the spring semester of shows for the entire family.

Located inside the Carhart Science Building, the Fred G. Dale planetarium will continue their Spring of 2019 schedule. Friday night shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. and then 2 p.m. every Saturday.

Kicking off the month of March will be for the kids on Friday, March 1 – Saturday, March 2 (Go for a Ride!/Animals in the Sky) and again on Friday, March 8 – Saturday, March 9 (My House Has Stars/Zula Patrol).

The “What’s It Made Of?” Part I and Part II showings will be scheduled for the third weekend as well.

Doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of each show as all shows last about 45 minutes. Planetarium shows generally include a tour of the current night sky, a view of the constellations and a fulldome video.

The Fred G. Dale Planetarium is a donation-based planetarium, and all donations go towards the purchase of new full dome videos, hardware and software upgrades and other items that will increase the educational and entertainment experience of the planetarium.
