Planetarium, Laser Shows Scheduled For November 11 – 12

WAYNE – With just a couple more fall planetarium and laser shows on the weekend schedule, make plans to visit the Fred G. Dale Planetarium.

According to a release from WSC, shows continue every weekend featuring entertaining and informative full-dome shows like Astronaut, Oasis in Space and From Earth to the Universe.

Planetarium shows also include a discussion of the current night sky and hot astronomy topics like the Webb Space Telescope and the Artemis Project. The planetarium features many laser shows, including the lights and music of Classic Rock, Laser Country, Laser Beatles and Pink Floyd.

This Friday’s planetarium schedule will feature ‘Dawn of the Space Age’ at 7 p.m. followed by Laser 60s at 8 p.m. Moving into Saturday, ‘Flight Adventures’ will take place at 1 p.m. with Laser Fun scheduled for 2 p.m.

Moving into the final fall semester weekend at the planetarium will be November 18 – 19. The November 18 planetarium show will be ‘Tales of the Mayan Skies’ at 7 p.m. and Laser Classic Rock at 8 p.m. followed by November 19 events of ‘The Sky We Don’t See’ planetarium show at 1 p.m. and Laser Pink Floyd at 2 p.m.

All shows last about 45 minutes. The planetarium is located on the lowest level of the Carhart Science Building. Suggested donation for shows is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
