Pierce Manor evacuated

PIERCE, NE (News Channel Nebraska) – This footage of the Pierce flooding has caused evacuations such as the Pierce Manor.

Residents of a northeast Nebraska assisted living center have been relocated.

Flood waters entered the Premier Estates of Pierce on Wednesday forcing the evacuation of the staff and residents. They were transported to the City Auditorium because highways out of town were flooded.

Marketing and Social Service Director Charley Bonanno tells NCN that patients have now been relocated from the auditorium to Norfolk Care and Rehab Center. It is unclear when the Pierce Manor building will be usable again.
