Pierce Declares Snow Emergency

PIERCE – The City of Pierce is getting residents prepared for possible heavy snow on Saturday.

City officials have declared that a snow emergency will go into affect for the City of Pierce beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Pierce County is among those in a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Saturday.

The National Weather Service has backed off of their initial snowfall estimates, saying now that anywhere from three to six inches of snow could fall in Antelope, Cedar, Knox, Pierce and Wayne Counties. The snowfall is expected to be lighter the farther south you go in Nebraska. Some freezing drizzle is expected as well on Saturday.
