Pie & Ice Cream Social, Hot Dog Feed Scheduled For Monday Is Now Postponed

WAYNE – An annual fundraiser hosted by the Wayne Music Boosters that was scheduled for the evening of Monday, March 16 is now postponed.

Wayne Community Schools was going to host the the ‘Pie & Ice Cream Social/Hot Dog Feed’ that will also feature a concert raising funds for the Wayne Music Boosters but the event has since been postponed due to the Corona virus.

 

Parents who signed up to donate food items are encouraged to freeze or store their items until a new date can be determined.

The fifth-grade band will open the performance schedule from 5 until 5:15 p.m.; followed by sixth grade band (5:15 – 5:30 p.m.); seventh and eighth grade choir (5:30 – 5:50 p.m.) as well as seventh and eighth grade band (5:50 – 6:10 p.m.). Following a 10-minute break, the high school jazz choir will resume the performances from 6:20 – 6:40 p.m.; followed by the high school jazz band (6:40 – 7 p.m.); high school choir (7 – 7:35 p.m.) and high school band (7:35 – 8 p.m.).

Like the Wayne Music Boosters on Facebook as the group was still in search for a few more donations and jobs to be filled.

Another upcoming event will include the Wayne High musical in early April. Tickets will go on sale for Monty Python’s “Spamalot, school edition”, Monday, March 16 by calling the high school office at 402-375-3150 or contacting a cast member.

Performances will be Friday and Saturday, April 3-4 at 7 p.m. with a 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5 show closing out the weekend.
