Pender, Wakefield Hosting LifeServe Blood Drives July 12 – 13

WAYNE – A pair of northeast Nebraska communities will be hosting July blood drive events this week.

According to a release from LifeServe Blood Center, local physicians refer to summer as trauma season. When an emergency occurs, it’s the blood on the shelf that helps patients in need.

Donate blood with LifeServe to help your hospital and your neighbors.

Someone requires a blood transfusion every two seconds as 100% of the blood products needed by your community hospital come from LifeServe blood donors.

Make an appointment at an upcoming neighborhood blood drive near you as appointments required.

The Pender Community Blood Drive will be on Tuesday, July 12 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Pender Fire Hall (314 Maple Street).

The Wakefield Community Blood Drive will be on Wednesday, July 13 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Christian Church of Wakefield inside the Fellowship Hall (303 Johnson Street).

Again, schedule a blood donation appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.
