Emerson Medical Clinic And Apothecary Open Scheduled For Sunday, PCH Expands Specialty Care Offerings

EMERSON – After opening in early October a branch of the Pender Community Hospital (PCH) is set to invite the public for an open house event this weekend.

The Emerson Medical Clinic and Apothecary, located at 1003 South Main Street (Suites 1 & 2) in Emerson has been serving residents of Emerson and much more of northeast Nebraska for the past month and a half.

The event is made to officially welcome all to their new location on Sunday, November 17 from 1 – 3 p.m. This will also be a great opportunity for community members to view the new facility and all it has to offer.

During the open house, self-guided tours of the near 5,000-square foot facility will be available including new patient rooms as well as x-ray and retail pharmacy. Also, the two-hour open house will offer a chance to meet providers and speak with team members about the services provided, refreshments and cake will on hand as well as giveaways and door prizes.

Earlier this week, Pender Community Hospital expanded their specialty care offerings in vascular surgery and endocrinology. PCH patients will be able to see Dr. Chad Laurich, a board-certified vascular surgeon, and Amanda Anderson, NP-C, a certified vascular nurse practitioner, along with Endocrinologists Dr. Enas Al Zaghal and Dr. Kaitlin G. Brau, in the Outpatient Specialty Clinic every month.

No referral is needed to make an appointment and nearly all insurance is accepted. To set up an appointment, call the home office of Chad and Amanda—Midlands Clinic in Dakota Dunes—at 605-217-5617. They will see patients on the first Wednesday of each month in Pender.

To make an appointment (for endocrinology services) with Dr. Al Zaghal or Dr. Brau, contact their home office—Faith Regional Physician Services in Norfolk—at 402-844-8680. Both physicians look forward to partnering with referring physicians and other specialists to help manage and treat these disorders.

Both vascular and endocrinology specialty services are located at 100 Hospital Drive, Pender.

The board-certified vascular surgeon and certified vascular nurse practitioner will treat patients with vascular issues, such as: peripheral artery disease (PAD); abdominal aorta, carotid and venous diseases; pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis (DVT); dialysis access; hyperhidrosis and non-healing wounds.

The two endocrinologists will also see patients on-site at Pender Community Hospital once a month and are able to diagnose and treat disorders of the endocrine system, including: adrenal disorders; diabetes; osteoporosis; thyroid and parathyroid disorders and pituitary disorders.
